Oficina Ceramica Francisco Brennand
The studio, workshop and museum of one of Brazil’s best know artists, located a few kilometers outside the city. The colonial ceramics factory that Brennand converted into his atelier is surrounded by thick and original Atlantic forest. Over two thousand sculptures.

Situated in a park. Its interior is decorated with Portuguese ceramics.

Nossa Senhora do Rosario dos Homens Pretos Church
The King Afonso VII donated this church to the Recife Africans. In its interior the Negro saints are present.

Pátio São Pedro
Colonial houses dated of XVIII and XIX centuries. There are many tourist buildings in the area.

Is the oldest area of the city, where is localized the Zero Point and the Port. Many buildings have been restored and revitalized. It is an important cultural and nightlife area with many bars, restaurants, leisure activities and important events. The principal attractions are the colonial houses and the historical monuments as Madre de Deus Cathedral (dated of 1709) and the Torre Malakof (old weather observatory built in 1855).

Beaches:

Pina Beach
The beach
with its calm water and dark sand was an old fisherman colony. There are a gastronomic centre with restaurants and bars at Polo Pina area; a nice play to enjoy the evening.

Boa Viagem Beach
The most famous beach of Pernambuco. Its green water and reefs form natural swimming pools of warm water. Good restaurant infrastructure. Surfing not allowed due to shark presence.

Olinda
Classified as World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO, the historical city is located 30 minutes from Recife. It was the capital of Brazilian culture in the XVI century, lodging the most important artists, sculptors and writers.
